Bio

I am a doctor living in Birmingham in the UK. I work at the University of Birmingham teaching and doing research as well as seeing patients at the University Hospitals NHS Trust.

I spend my spare time playing piano and bassoon, listening to music, gardening, cycling and taking photographs.
I bought myself a digital SLR last year which I am slowly getting the hang of. I really miss my very basic 35mm SLR I was given 25 years ago. It did nothing for you but was so simple you felt you had total control over the process of taking a photograph. I love my new digital SLR but don't feel completely in control of it yet.

I will be posting photos into my journal; particularly photos form the Birmingham Canal Navigations system which I am slowly exploring.
